Brittani Broussard is a performance and visual artist, costume designer, sculptor, and dancer based in Houston, TX. She received her BFA in studio art from the University of Texas at Austin. Her work uses different objects, fabrics, and textiles of various sizes, colors, and textures to adhere to her face or costumes to transform her into a new being. The placement of each object on her face and body determines how she moves and dances during her performances. She draws inspiration from fashion, her Louisiana Creole roots, and African masking. Brittani has exhibited work at The Orange Show, MATCH Houston, Counter Current, and most recently became The Big Show Awardee at Lawndale in Houston. She has also shown work in other cities like Austin, Los Angeles, Miami, and Manhattan.
